Twenty-one people were arrested Monday for blocking a downtown Seattle street as part of a protest pushing for higher wages for hotel workers.
Demonstrators blocked the street outside of The Westin hotel on 5th Avenue. According to Seattle police, 12 women and nine men moved into the road around 4 p.m. and refused to stop blocking traffic.
The group blocked traffic for a little over two hours before officers gave a final order to disperse. All 21 people were arrested just after 6 p.m.
