EVERETT, Wash. — A fatal car crash in Everett that left one man dead and two other people seriously injured is under investigation Tuesday morning.
Everett police said the crash happened just before 4 a.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of West Casino Road. A man in his "late 20s" was pronounced dead at the scene and was the lone occupant of one of the involved vehicles, police said.
The driver and passenger of the other involved vehicle were left with "serious injuries," according to Everett police. Police told KING 5 that one of the occupants is in surgery while the other did not require a trip to the hospital.
Police are still investigating to determine whether any impairment was involved in the wreck.
While the scene was being cleared, police said a different driver went through the scene and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Police have West Casino Road closed while they continue to investigate.
