SEATTLE -- A Vancouver, Washington family is asking for help finding their son's very special possession. Benji Allan, 3, lost his blanket during a trip to the Seattle waterfront this weekend.

Benji has been nearly inseparable from his favorite blanket, which he calls "Monkey," since birth. He suffers from a brain condition that makes things like walking and talking difficult, and has required repeated hospital visits.

Monkey comes along for each hospital stay as a source of security.

His mom, Krissy Allan, said Benji dropped the blanket somewhere between Pier 66 and the Great Wheel.

They realized it was missing after Benji started asking for Monkey as the family was loading back into their car.

"I took off running down the pier and all the way to the Great Wheel, going in every store. I went into the aquarium, asking people on the street, I put a picture on my phone and showed everyone asking where it was," Allan said.

Benji and his family are back in Vancouver where they live, but they are hoping someone has seen his blanket and will reach out.
