SEATTLE -- A Washington state ferry made rare trip through the Ballard Locks Monday morning.
The 90-car ferry Sealth was towed from the Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility on Bainbridge Island, through Seattle's Lake Washington Ship Canal to Lake Union drydock for maintenance and upgrades.

According to WSF, the work done to the Sealth will cost around $1.5 million and include installation of new windows, sprinkler systems, non-skid passenger and bridge decks and security system.
