KENT, Wash. — Firefighters are working to extinguish a fire at a boarded-up house in Kent.
The fire was reported around 9:23 p.m. Monday. According to fire crews with Puget Sound Fire, no one was in the house when they arrived.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities confirmed that two other fires have been reported at this house, which is located on the corner of Meeker Street and Madison Avenue, just off Highway 167.
As of 11:15 p.m., crews were still at the scene, monitoring the fire and putting out any hotspots that might arise.
Officials with Puget Sound Fire and the Kent Police Department say this house is known to have transient activity.
