FIFE, Wash. — A fire has damaged multiple storage units at a facility in Fife early Thursday morning.
Interstate 5 commuters in that area will likely notice the smoke emanating from the incident.
The fire broke out just before midnight. At its peak, flames were visible through the roof of the storage facility.
Firefighters took a defensive approach and poured water on the fire from the outside. Flames are no longer visible, however, crews will continue to monitor the facility throughout the morning to watch for flare-ups and hot spots.
There is no impact on I-5 traffic.
There are no reported injuries.
