RANDLEMAN, N.C. -- Randolph County EMS and Fire dispatchers say firefighters were called to a 2-alarm fire at Richard Petty's Garage on Saturday afternoon.
The call came in around 12:40 p.m. Firefighters had smoke and flames under control within an hour.
A spokesperson for the Richard Petty Garage said people were setting up for a party when the fire happened. Everyone got out safely and there were no injuries.
The spokesperson said the Garage plans to be open at normal schedule on Monday.
No trophies, cars, or other valuables were lost in the fire. Officials say the fire was contained to one room which had minor smoke and water damage.
Investigators have not determined the cause of the fire as of yet.
