Full Tilt Ice Cream shop closes for good in White Center

The closure comes after the owner of Full Tilt, Justin Cline, died from a heart attack in early March.

WHITE CENTER, Wash. — A neighborhood favorite is closing up shop in White Center.

Full Tilt Ice Cream's flagship store in White Center is closing for good at 8 p.m. on Sunday. The closure comes after the owner of Full Tilt, Justin Cline, died from a heart attack in early March. He suffered a heart attack in February.

Cline's widow said it was his dream to be a part of the business community. And without him, it's just not the same.

"I’m beyond grateful for the love and friendship and support these past 16 years," the store said in a post on Facebook in April. "It’s truly been the best years of my life. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this craziness. Thank you White Center."

Full Tilt was founded by Cline and his wife, Ann Magyar, in 2008 in White Center. It expanded to include locations in Ballard, Capitol Hill, Columbia City and the University District.

The Columbia City shop will remain open, but that location does not accept gift cards, coupons, or birthday party certificates from other locations, according to the statement.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help the family. As of May, it has raised more than $90,000.
