Students at Hamilton International Middle School in Seattle are planning their own performance of Broadway’s biggest show, Hamilton.
Hamilton started it's six-week run in Seattle Tuesday.
More than 20 middle schoolers will put on the fundraiser show Friday. The 6 p.m. performance at the Wallingford neighborhood school will raise money for victims of Puerto Rico’s Hurricane Maria.
8th graders Athena Fain and Jay Sanderson were running through some of the songs Tuesday.
“I wanted to do something for Puerto Rico, so I mean, I started pushing for it and eventually we got together a big cast and we started rolling with it,” said Fain.
Fain also got to see the musical’s opening night.
