SEATTLE -- Police say a Seattle man came to them with a problem: someone keeps mailing him packages of marijuana.
The man told officers that the first package arrived a month ago, marked return to sender, insufficient postage. The man's home was listed as the return address. He says he opened it, found marijuana inside and threw the box away.
When a second package arrived Monday, he took it to the East Precinct. Officers say the package was addressed to a business in Georgia and contained about a half ounce of plastic-wrapped marijuana. They sent it to the evidence unit for destruction.
On their website, police note that while adult possession of small quantities of marijuana is legal in Washington, sending it through the federally run mail system is not.
