A human foot was found on Everett's Jetty Island on New Year's Day. Beach goers discovered a boot with a foot inside around 2 p.m. and reported the discovery to 911.
The Everett Police Department sent Marine Operations officers and a Major Crimes detective to the scene, who confirmed the finding. They assessed the booth had been in the water for some time.
The boot is now in custody of the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office, which will attempt to establish an identity.
