Seahawks Defensive End Michael Bennett hopes fun and fitness events can help end childhood obesity.
Bennett and his wife launched "The Bennett Foundation" at an event Sunday at Bellevue Downtown Park.
The goal is to fight childhood obesity through community outreach, healthy living, and education.
That includes events like "Family Health Day," coming up at the end of the month:
"We'll get the whole she-bang. Whenever you're dealing with me you're dealing with the best. This is gonna be one of the best events Seattle's ever had. So, look out Paul, look out Bill Gates...I'm coming for you guys," said Bennett.
To celebrate, Bennett invited kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue to take part in a bike ride, just like the one he took after the Seahawks' NFC Championship win.
