Missing Renton man found dead in Cedar River

RENTON, Wash. Police say the body of a man missing since Thursday night was found in the Cedar River Friday afternoon.

Gerald Jerry Selden, 61, left his south Renton home for a walk at about 5 p.m. and never returned Thursday.

His body was found in the Cedar River near the Logan Avenue Bridge around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

The cause of death was not immediately released.

Renton police said Selden was bi-polar and suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He did not have his medication for blood pressure and anemia conditions when he disappeared.
