RENTON, Wash. — A motorcyclist was seriously injured after hitting an abandoned trailer on the freeway in Renton on Thursday night.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), calls to 911 came in just before 8 p.m. on Oct. 24 reporting a collision involving a motorcycle on northbound 405 near 44th Street in Renton.
Troopers determined that an unknown vehicle lost a trailer and it was abandoned in the HOV lane. A motorcyclist hit the trailer, then struck the trailer of a semi-truck and was ejected off their motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was seriously injured, WSP said.
