Traffic has reopened on U.S. 101 at milepost 330 in Mason County after crews cleared a mudslide that shut down the highway Saturday morning.
The mudslide brought down trees mostly on the southbound lanes and shut down traffic in both directions for several hours.
Maintenance crews were able to open one northbound lane midday. By 2:45 p.m., the slide had been entirely cleared.
The cause of the slide near Hood Canal is not known.
