The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has found the car of an Olympia woman who has been missing for over two weeks.
Ginger Gover’s green Honda Civic was found stripped Monday in a Puyallup industrial park on Valley Avenue. Her parents said that the stripped car really worried them and issued a plea for help to find their daughter.
“Why is the car like this?” said Ingrid Phillips, Gover’s mother. “Why would somebody do this to the car?”
Gover, who went missing July 29, left her parents’ Olympia home on a Sunday morning to visit a friend in Tacoma. Then she was supposed to make a stop in Eatonville. However, her parents said she got a flat tire on Canyon Road.
A friend said he met her at a gas station to fix the flat, and then she drove toward Eatonville. However, she never arrived.
“It's really hard,” Phillips said. “It's really hard not knowing. It's all you think about all day long.”
For her parents it’s been agony.
“And you think about it and it just kind of kills you, yourself you know,” Phillips said. “You don't know where she is. It is not like her to disappear like this.”
They still hope the nightmare will end and Gover will come home.
