BLYN, Wash. — The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies are investigating after a woman was found dead in Olympic National Forest.
Detectives believe the woman was a victim of a homicide.
Her body was found on Friday in the Forest’s Buckhorn Wilderness, off a roadway leading to Forest Service Road 28 South in Blyn. Law enforcement crews are conducting an evidence search around the area.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the official cause of death.
Investigators do not believe there is a danger to the public.
The FBI will be involved in the investigation since the body was discovered on federal forest land.
The investigation is ongoing.
