A 23-year-old man from Seatac died in a shooting outside the Edmonds Senior Center late Friday night.
The center was rented out for a party, with more than 100 people attending. A fight broke out during the party and spilled into the parking lot, where several shots were fired.
Police detained three people who sped away from the scene and determined one of them was the shooter. A 21-year-old man from Seatac was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on second-degree murder. The driver of the vehicle was also booked for eluding a police officer. The third person in the vehicle was interviewed and released.
It's unclear what caused the fight that led to the shooting. Police say they received limited cooperation from witnesses at the scene.
