Pedestrian hit, killed in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood

A 61-year-old man died after he was hit by a vehicle on Elliott Avenue.

SEATTLE — A 61-year-old man died after being hit by a vehicle in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood Thursday night.

Seattle police say just before 6 p.m., a 40-year-old woman was driving northbound on Elliott Avenue and struck the man who was crossing the street but wasn't in a crosswalk.

Detectives with SPD's Traffic Collision Investigation Squad are still investigating what led up to the crash.
