SULTAN, Wash. — An animal sanctuary in Sultan says a duck now up for adoption was saved from a difficult situation.

"Danny" the duck was found at a "drug house" in Mukilteo and was taken in by Pasado's Safe Haven, according to a Facebook post from the organization on Wednesday.

"Danny is a real personality. He's a sweet, social guy who'd do great with other feathered friends. His favorite snacks are blueberries and mealworms, and his dream home would have a pond," wrote Pasado's Safe Haven in its Facebook post about the duck.

Danny was found with two dogs and two parakeets at the home, all of which are now safe according to Pasado's.

Pasado's Safe Haven was founded in honor of a donkey who was killed by three teenage boys in 1992. The non-profit organization has over 200 animals on its 85-acre sanctuary in Sultan.
