SEATTLE -- A hair stylist at Seattle's Salon Circa took his work to the streets on Wednesday.
The shop posted on their Facebook page: "This is Caroline and she is outside the salon almost daily selling Real Change papers and Daniel went out and offered her a haircut today. Her first in over a year."
Caroline's smile tells the rest of the story -- she beamed from the sidewalk with a salon cape around her neck.
Stylist Daniel Bacon tells KING 5: "Here's the reason we didn't go in the salon because she wanted to stay outside and provide newspapers to those people who rely on her for those we offered to bring her up and she insisted that we hang outside."
Real Change is a weekly paper covering social justice issues in Seattle, providing an alternative to panhandling for those who sell it.
