Tacoma Police responded to calls of multiple shots fired at East L Street and East 35th Street at 3:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
Officer Pool with Tacoma Police estimates thirty people were at the scene when many shots were fired.
The large crowd dispersed and a 24-year-old with life-threatening injuries was found when police arrived. He was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital.
Police stopped a vehicle blocks away from the shooting and arrested a man and woman inside. Both suspects were booked into Pierce County Jail for drive by shooting and weapons involvement.
Tacoma Police continue to investigate.
