Port of Seattle CEO Tay Yoshitani has announced he's going to retire at the end of June, when his contract expires.
Yoshitani has been the CEO of the Port of Seattle for seven years. He's had a good run and is offering a smooth transition to a new CEO.
Now, port commissioners will select a search firm and begin the replacement process.
Yoshitani, who earns $367,000, was authorized by port commissioners to take a second job at the trade firm Expeditors International, a controversial move at the time.
