A full police procession on Tuesday escorted the bodies of a Bonney Lake police officer and an Air Force veteran who were killed in an avalanche last weekend.

Officer James Larsen, 41, and Zach Roundtree, 27, were transported from Ellensburg to Black Diamond, and then on to Weeks Funeral Home in Buckley.

Larsen and Roundtree died Saturday after they were hit by an avalanche while snowmobiling near Cle Elum. Two other men survived, one with serious injuries.

Officer Larsen worked over 14 years with Bonney Lake Police. He leaves behind his parents and two sisters.
