Seattle City Light says a widespread outage that left 6,000 customers in the dark in south Seattle Thursday night was caused by a raccoon.
"A raccoon made its way into the bus work of the South Substation, causing an arc flash and ultimately this large-scale outage," Seattle City Light posted on Facebook Friday morning.
Power was fully restored for most residents early Friday morning; crews were working on a few dozen remaining customers in the Green Lake area.
