After a long night of delivering presents, Santa Claus traded in his sleigh for some water skis Christmas morning.
For the 26th year, Santa started his vacation by water skiing around Lake Stevens.
Spectators gathered around the lake to wave at Santa as he was towed by a boat playing festive music. It’s a holiday tradition many families have come to watch for years.
“Ten years, at least,” one spectator said. “It doesn’t last very long, but it’s part of tradition.
Santa and his crew took a short ride around the lake before heading back to the North Pole for some rest and relaxation.
Last Christmas, Santa, Mrs. Clause, and their Christmas Elves launched from Mercer Island and went water skiing around a snowy Lake Washington.
