Sea-Tac Airport seeking 13 dining, retail space bidders for C Concourse expansion

The Port of Seattle is encouraging local and regional businesses to apply for spaces at Sea-Tac Airport's C Concourse expansion.

SEATAC, Wash. — The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is seeking bids for 13 dining and retail spaces for its C Concourse expansion.

Beginning in early 2024, the airport will begin the request for proposal process and will offer classes for interested bidders on the process.

The airport is searching for seven food and beverage locations within the expanded concourse, three retail spaces within the concourse, two retail spaces surrounding the concourse and one pre-security food and beverage location adjacent to the concourse.

“These new dining and retail locations within the C Concourse Expansion are a key component to building a port of the future,” said Port of Seattle Commission President Sam Cho. “We encourage local and small businesses to apply, as we know travelers love the Pacific Northwest favorites that define the dining and retail experience at the airport.”

Interesting bidders can sign up for more information through the concession inquiry form.

The $399 million C Concourse Expansion project was in response to the need for additional dining and retail capacity, office space and premium lounge space at the airport, according to the project memo. New amenities that will be included with the expansion are new restrooms, an interfaith prayer and meditation room, a nursing room, an outdoor public lookout and more.

The expansion also includes a more than 20,000-square-foot Alaska Airlines lounge.

Construction is expected to begin in 2024 and is estimated to be completed in 2026. This project is part of Upgrade SEA, a campaign to modernize the airport and meet the growing traveler demands.
