Seafair forecast promises sunshine and warmth

Weather conditions continue to improve as Seafair weekend arrives.
The hydroplance races have been a cornerstone of Seafair for decades.

It’s the weekend that most of us look forward to during the summer months. Big hydros surfing across Lake Washington, loud fighter jets blitzing across the sky, and boats lined up side by side as they watch an intense race that promises to bring tons of excitement.

Many Washingtonians didn’t know how the weather would shape up due to the week we recently had, but conditions continue to improve as the weekend comes upon us.

A few morning clouds will be possible but plan to move out of the region by the late morning hours. We’ll be seeing tons of sunshine on Saturday and Sunday with highs warming each day. Saturday many of us around Puget Sound will see highs in the mid-70s, with upper 70s and lower 80s returning on Sunday.

Remember to sunscreen up and hydrate throughout the weekend.

The Albert Lee Appliance Gold Cup featuring H1 Hydroplane racing will be broadcast live on KONG, KING5.com, and the KING 5 mobile app from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5.
