The search continued Tuesday for missing hiker Samantha Sayers, last seen in the North Cascades on August 1.

At least 50 search and rescue crews have been looking for Sayers since her disappearance, according to NBC. On Tuesday, multiple air crews with King and Snohomish county resumed the search at Vesper Peak.

NBC News reports Sayers, 28, left last Wednesday for a solo hike on the Vesper Peak Trail in the North Cascades. Sayers is said to be an experienced day hiker and often embarks on intense, miles-long hikes on her own.

On Sunday, Sayers' mom posted on Facebook sharing her concerns about the ongoing search efforts.

"My fear is that we may be too late and that my little girl is still out there since August 1, but we're holding onto hope and faith that she's still okay," said her mother, Lisa Yax Sayers.

The Snohomish County Search and Rescue helicopter conducted air search operations for 33 hours over the weekend. Monday morning, King County Search and Rescue conducted an air search using thermal imaging cameras.
