Suspect in custody after shooting inside Showbox SoDo

No one was injured when shots were fired into the ceiling of the concert venue, Seattle police say.

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating after shots were fired inside Showbox SoDo during a concert on Friday night. 

No one was injured when a suspect fired at least one gunshot into the ceiling of the venue around 10:30 p.m., according to the Seattle Police Department. Showbox SoDo is located in the 1700 block of First Avenue South in Seattle.

A suspect, who fled the scene, was arrested and is in police custody. The firearm was also recovered, police said. 

Officers found shell casings inside the concert venue. 

Rapper Bossman Dlow was set to perform at the Showbox SoDo on Friday night. The concert venue is closed as officers investigate, police said.
