Belltown Shooting

SEATTLE -- For the second time in three days, there has been an overnight shooting in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood.

Police say someone was shot just after 2 a.m. Wednesday near the Twilight Martini Lounge at Western Avenue and Blanchard Street.

Two security guards told police they saw a disturbance in a parking lot across the street from the bar. They said they then heard multiple gunshots and sawa man run from the scene.

The victim was shot in the stomach and hand and driven to Harborview Medical Center in a private vehicle. He was admitted into surgery.

Police did not find any suspects and say witnesses were uncooperative. They are still investigating, and asking anyone with information to please come forward.

Monday's shooting happened just around the corner at Second Avenue and Bell Street. Ahomeless veteran is credited with saving the victim's life.

Police have not said if the two are connected. Police say they are stepping up patrols in the area, but only on weekends.
