SEATTLE — Reddit once again lit up early Thursday morning as multiple users reported once again hearing the loud revving of a car engine in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood.
All the users, including some who had video, accused alleged serial offender of Seattle's noise code Miles Hudson of driving his now-infamous "Belltown Hellcat."
The Seattle City Attorney's Office said it was aware of reports but it wouldn't comment while the case was in process.
Hudson was barred from operating the vehicle in a civil complaint that demanded he fix the vehicle to make it compatible with Seattle's noise control code. If the vehicle was not brought into compliance by April 15, a daily fine up to $1,300 would be issued until Hudson has proved the car was fixed.
His mother Rebecca is the registered owner of the vehicle, and emailed the court over a week ago saying that she was taking the car into multiple shops and that Miles was not driving it or had it in his possession.
A Seattle man emailed the court Thursday saying he took a video clip of the vehicle revving its engine and driving down 2nd Avenue and entering the garage of the 2nd Avenue building where Hudson lives. A link to the video was included, as well as several other links from Seattle residents that were shared on Reddit. One clip, which appeared to be recorded from Hudson's Instagram account, shows someone appearing to be Hudson shouting to "rev that b---h" and "wake them up" as the vehicle loudly revs.
If Hudson indeed has yet to bring the vehicle into compliance, he would now be at least 37 days past the April 15 deadline for doing so. That would come out to a maximum fine of $48,100 for Hudson and his mother if proven.
In a seemingly unrelated case, Hudson had a civil protection order filed against him on Wednesday by a woman who says Hudson harassed her. She also accuses Hudson of sharing "revenge porn" of her with other people.
The order says Hudson lives across the street from the petitioner's place of work, and that if he is found to be loitering outside his building or harassing the woman, "then the respondent will need to relocate."
The next hearing in his civil case over the Hellcat's compliance is scheduled for June 12.
