A man who vanished after taking out the trash in his condo building Monday was found safe, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Saurabh Gupte, 34, was last seen on Monday in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood. He was found Wednesday afternoon after several people reported seeing him in the South Park neighborhood, police said.
Gupte had just finished a work meeting around noon on Monday and left his condo to walk down the hallway to the building's garbage chute, according to his wife.
“He never came back,” Shraddha Gupte told KING 5 on Tuesday.
An image from the building's surveillance cameras was the last known sighting of him.
Gupte was last seen in flip-flops and sweats. He left his phone and keys in the condo near Western Avenue and Denny Way. His wife and 4-month-old baby were still home at the time.
“He loves me, he loves his family, he loves his parents, he loves his baby. I don't know how he just disappeared. He's not that kind of guy who would just walk away,” Shraddha Gupte said.
Seattle police did not specify where Saurabh Gupte was found on Wednesday.
