Headed to a Kraken game? Here's the best food to try at Climate Pledge

At Climate Pledge Arena, you can try soup dumplings or birria tacos on game day.

SEATTLE — When you walk into Climate Pledge Arena on game day, your nose might lead you to some new dining options.

District 206 is a grab-and-go area featuring three new eateries: Fowl Language, Noodle Nirvana and Casa Escobar.

At Casa Esobar, fans can try birria tacos and the carne asada burrito made with hanger steak from Royal Ranch. Noodle Nirvana features soba noodles with tofu or pork belly, and Fowl Language gives fans different options when it comes to chicken tenders with parmesan garlic or buffalo-flavored and Impossible nuggets for the vegetarians.

"I think people are over the hot dogs. What can we do better and what can we do different?" said Sabra Bertch, director of food and beverage at Climate Pledge. "We want to make sure it's hearty and that they feel full when they're done."

If you're looking for something to warm you up after sitting near the ice, try the soup dumplings from Dumpling House. Climate Pledge prides itself on being the only arena that offers soup dumplings.

Climate Pledge aims to have locally-sourced food -- 75% of its food ingredients come from a 300-mile radius.

"We can track the beef, where it came from, what they ate, where they have traveled, where their parents are through a QR code that's on the box," said Bertsch.

Don't forget to leave room for dessert. Cruising around the arena is an ice cream truck on three wheels. Look for Sweet Ride where you can get The Big Dipper, a giant chocolate-dipped ice cream cone, along with a Strawberry Shortcake or Orange Creamsicle popsicles.  All of the sweet treats are made in-house.
