SEATTLE -- Records filed with the City of Seattle show that developers want to build one of the tallest buildings in the country in Downtown.
The documents filed Tuesday show the plans for the property at 4th and Columbia and call for Design Review of a 101-story structure.
The building would dwarf the neighboring 76-story Columbia Tower, which is currently the tallest building in Seattle.
Filing documents also suggest the developer wants to include 1,200 residential dwelling units, 167,150 sq. ft. of office/retail space, and 150 hotel rooms. The proposal also includes 750 parking spaces in the building.
The existing structure at 701 4th Avenue would be demolished.
The news was first reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
