After more than 63 years at 333 Dexter Ave N., KING 5 will begin building its future home in the SoDo neighborhood.

The Home Team will move its operations to the development at Home Plate Center, kitty corner from Safeco Field. Once the build-out is complete, KING, KONG and NWCN will occupy the first three floors of the North Building.

Designed by HLW Architects of New York City, the new, modern facility will feature the only street-level curbside studio in the market so audiences will be able to see the Home Team in action in a new and exciting way.

The location is ideal in many ways - as a new hub of entertainment, technology and growth in the city of Seattle, as well as the home of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners.

KING Broadcasting, the region's first television station, was founded by Dorothy Bullitt in 1948.
