Retrofitting on Seattle s Aurora Bridge will mean intermittent lane closures for the next few nights.
Construction workers are replacing one large joint and repairing two others. They are what would allow the bridge to be able to move and shift with an earthquake.
There will be intermittent lane closures between 10 a.m. and 5 a.m. through October 15. The work will also be loud, possibly disturbing neighbors.
The bridge will also be closed this coming weekend. The Alaskan Way Viaduct will also be closed for an inspection.
