SEATTLE -- Power has been fully restored to areas of north Seattle after a breaker failure at a substation left as many as 43,000 Seattle City Light customers in the dark.
The power, which went out just after 5:30 p.m., was quickly restored for some customers. By 8:30pm, Seattle City Light tweeted power was fully restored.
Neighborhoods affected by the outage included the University District, Green Lake, Laurelhurst and Lake City. The outage knocked out traffic signals and King County Metro reported delays as buses navigated the stalled traffic.
Seattle City Light tweeted the exact cause of the failure is under investigation.
