The read “Amanda Knox sez, I may not like Italy, but I love City Markets Take and Bake pizza. I take it home and slice it myself.”
A paper sign outside the City Market store in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood makes an irreverent reference to Amanda Knox, Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, in Seattle. Knox returned to her hometown of Seattle on Tuesday after being acquitted on murder charges after four years in an Italian prison. Signs at the store in the past have also made fun of Casey Anthony and other people in the news

SEATTLE A local business used the name and likeness of Amanda Knox in a sidewalk advertisement in the Capitol Hill neighborhood that some are calling crass.

The sign posted Oct. 5 outside City Market read Amanda Knox sez, I may not Like Italy, but I Love City Markets take and Bake pizza. I take it home and Slice it myself.

The sign was not posted outside the store early Wednesday morning.

Knox was convicted in 2009 of murdering her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia, Italy. Kercher s throat had been cut.

A jury overturned the conviction on appeal last week. The Associated Press reports the sign was posted one day after Knox returned home to Seattle.
