SEATTLE A case manager with the City of Seattle's Human Services Department has agreed to accept a fine for misuse of a city car.

The Seattle Ethics and Election Commission says Lolita Simonyan used the car for a June trip to the Snoqualmie Casino. An investigation determined Simonyan checked her car out for an appointment with a client on June 15th. But the investigation says Simonyan finished her appointment, and instead of returning the office, drove to the Snoqualmie Casino.

The EEC says a driver came forward and said she watched the city car speeding east on I-90, and outside the city limits. So the driver, a woman, followed the city vehicle to the casino and snapped three photos. Investigators say Simonyan redeemed a Wednesday Coupon while at the Casino.

She agreed to a $365 fine, as part of a settlement with the EEC. She could have faced a $5,000 fine.

Simonyan was unavailable for comment on Tuesday night.
