Woman in 60s killed in collision in Seattle's Chinatown-International District, police say

The 63-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the hospital after the collision Sunday night.

SEATTLE — A woman in her 60s was killed in a fatal collision in the Chinatown International District Sunday night, police said.

The Seattle Police Department was called just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday for reports of a person struck by a vehicle near 12th Avenue South and South Weller Street. Officers found a 63-year-old woman on the road with life-threatening injuries. Police said the woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where she died from her injuries. 

According to police, the driver and passenger of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. Investigators said the driver was evaluated and was not impaired at the time of the collision. Neither person was injured, police said.

The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) is looking into the collision. Police said to contact the TCIS at 206-684-8923 if you have any information.
