SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. -- A man skiing at Alpental ski area over the weekend died after falling into a tree well.
The incident happened just after 2 p.m. on Sunday. Officials say another man who was with the skier saw him fall in the tree well. He called for other skiers to help pull the man out.
The skiers did CPR until ski patrol arrived shortly after. Ski patrol administered CPR until paramedics arrived, but the man could not be resuscitated and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials did not release the identity of the man.
