The familiar gray, industrial hue that fills SODO got a little more than a fresh coat of paint last week.
A collection of more than 60 artists finished work on a 2-mile stretch of mural through the Seattle neighborhood. The three-year project tasked painters from around the world to work under the theme of motion, movement and progress.
The SODO Track mural is visible along 5th Avenue South between Royal Brougham Way and Spokane Street by walkers and bus and light rail riders.
KING 5 photojournalist Tim Hahn met up with some of the artists during the last days of the project.
