TACOMA, Wash. -- Tacoma Public Schools is suing three staff members of Lincoln High School who went public with their concerns about student treatment.
KING 5 broke the story last month, that a teacher and two guidance counselors claimed Lincoln High School wasweeding out bad students to improve the school's academic standing.
In the lawsuit filed last week, the district accuses the three staffers, and their attorney of releasing private student records to KING 5 and the Tacoma News Tribune.
The documents reviewed for our story were redacted, and did not include any information identifying a particular student.
KING 5 has also learned the three employees could face disciplinary action.
A Tacoma Public Schools spokesperson says the district is investigating the staffers' allegations at Lincoln High.
