TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police are investigating a homicide after a woman was killed on Wednesday morning.
Officers were called just before 10:45 a.m. for an unresponsive 38-year-old woman along the 3000 block of Tacoma Avenue. Emergency crews tried life-saving measures for the woman, but she was pronounced dead by the Tacoma Fire Department.
A witness told KING 5 he was walking when he found the woman lying on the street at Tacoma Avenue South and South Delin Street. He saw some people rendering aid to the unresponsive woman.
The Tacoma Police Department is investigating how the woman was killed. There have been no arrests made in the homicide, police said.
