A Tacoma Metro Parks worker jumped into action Tuesday when a duck got its head stuck in a rock wall at Wright Park in Tacoma.
A parkgoer alerted a group of workers who were cleaning up around the duck pond about the stuck duck.
“There were mothers and families around the pond, so I wanted to get him out of there before they saw something they didn’t want to see,” said Nathan Iversen.
Video shows Iverson working to free the duck that was trapped by the side of the pond. After attempting to pick up the duck, Iversen removed rocks around its head. The duck eventually flapped free.
“Everyone was so happy,” Iversen said.
