If you're looking for a unique local bookstore, Third Place Books definitely fits the bill.
There are three locations – Ravenna, Lake Forest Park, and Seward Park.
The newest one is in Seward Park. It opened in 2016, shares a space with Raconteur restaurant, and has a full bar downstairs.
That – and its combination of new and used books – means its clientele and programming is inherently unique and very Seattle-esque with features like their annual “Find Waldo” challenge in the summer for kids.
For adults, they host events like “Booze and Laser” night for a book club aimed at sci-fi fans.
As for the name Third Place Books, it's based on a famous author’s philosophy of needing three places in your life – home, work, and a third place, where you and your community interact.
