SNOHOMISH, Wash. -- The warm weather has apparently brought out too much skimpy clothing at one Snohomish County high school and students are being written up for it.
Officials with Glacier Peak High School wrote up 69 students for dress code violations last week alone. The school typically averages about 20 violations in a week.
Much of the problem has to do with clothing that is too revealing.
If a teacher believes a student's attire is inappropriate, the student is sent to the office where it is evaluated. A first-time violation brings a punishment of cleaning up garbage during lunch. If a student receives a fourth violation he or she can be suspended.
I think it's just a seasonal thing, said district spokesperson Kristen Foley. We just need to remind our kids about what is appropriate and what is not.
