The City of SeaTac plans to remember Amina Ahmed at a community vigil Tuesday evening.
Ahmed died Saturday afternoon in what the city describes as a head-on collision at South 188th Street and 16th Avenue South.
Funeral and burial services for Ahmed are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Abubakr Islamic Center. A vigil will follow shortly thereafter at SeaTac City Hall at 5 p.m.
Ahmed was unanimously appointed to the council in October to fill a vacant position through November of next year. She was a Human Service and Non-Profict Executive and worked in the human service field in SeaTac since 2002.
