SEATTLE — Seattle Public Schools wants parents to be prepared for delays from school buses picking up and dropping off their children after the Viaduct closes for good on Jan. 11.
On their website, the district says that virtually all schools will be impacted by the closure.
District spokesperson Tim Robinson said the district is working to mitigate the delay by having their drivers arrive at least 30 minutes earlier for their shifts.
Parents will be notified by phone and letter if their children’s pick up and drop off times will change. Robinson said the locations of the drop offs and pickups won’t change.
At this point, Robinson said the district’s plan is still developing and they will have a better idea of what to expect when the closure actually happens.
